In the 1990’s, I used to tell my children that Jesus is coming back soon. “Oh, Mom you say that all the time.”
Have you ever heard something so often that when you hear it again, you begin to yawn? The other day, when I heard the U.S. had arrested the Venezuelan president and brought him to America, I felt like I got hit with a cattle prod. I’m awake, Lord, I’m awake.
Ever since, I’ve been reading random Scriptures and they’re about what to do before Jesus comes back. Hearing preaching on YouTube that Israel is in agreement with the Arabs to share the Dome of the Rock, to build a third temple. A prophesy in the Old Testament says when the next temple is built, don’t build where the outer court used to be, that’s for the Gentiles. Permits have been issued by the Israeli government to build the temple. Red heifer cows are in Israel for sacrifices to God. Implements needed for the temple have been made to order. Priests are being trained to serve, according to @TheRevelationSignal. The description is “End of the World? See as Jerusalem is Fulfilling EndTime Prophecy RIGHT NOW.” (I’ve heard some of these comments elsewhere, as well.)
Jesus is coming back as Lord of lords, King of kings. When God became human as a baby in Bethlehem, as prophesied in the book of Micah, He put off His deity while on the earth. As a grown up, Jesus told parables to the people. One is of the ten virgins waiting for their groom to call them to the wedding. Five kept their lamps lit with oil, the other five ran out of fuel. The second group asked the first group to share their oil. The first five virgins said they didn’t have enough oil to share. The bridegroom may be coming and find all ten didn’t have enough oil to keep their lamps lit. “Go to the merchants to buy enough oil for your lamps.”
So, they left, and just as the groom predicted, He came for them. Alas, five of the virgins were gone. They knocked on the castle door when they returned, but they missed their opportunity to be with the King.
Jesus is coming back. Not as a sacrificial Lamb but as the Lion of Judah. All who repent of sin and ask Jesus to be their Lord and Savior will have the oil of the Holy Spirit. They will be allowed into the King’s castle, heaven.
Those who think they have plenty of time may want to look at the news. Prophesies of end times are happening now.
Jesus may come at any moment. Those five virgins without oil cried bitterly when they couldn’t go the marriage feast. Jesus came for the Jewish people first and some didn’t want Him; we’re told in John 1. He went to Jews and Gentiles before His crucifixion to preach the Good News of salvation for all of mankind.
In the Gospel of John, chapter 3, He tells people of being born again, a spiritual rebirth. In (Mark 12: 28-34, NKJV), we learn: Mar 12:28 Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, “Which is the first commandment of all?”
Mar 12:29 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘HEAR, O ISRAEL, THE LORD OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE.
Mar 12:30 AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.’ This is the first commandment.
Mar 12:31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Mar 12:32 So the scribe said to Him, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He.
Mar 12:33 And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
Mar 12:34 Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” But after that no one dared question Him.
While we are still alive, we can choose God and an indescribably wonderful heaven. Now would be best. The world is changing in ways Jesus foretold about before He comes back. We can only love Him and repent and follow Him if we ask for His help. We are like sheep gone astray, Jesus told His listeners. He leaves the 99 sheep to find the 1 sheep who got lost. His love is beyond our comprehension. Ask Him to prove Himself to you, and He will.
